Hiya, I'm Derek. I'm eighteen years old and I live here in Norway. I'm a very dedicated, down to earth person and I always finish what I start.
My interests are from anime to politics and religious debates.
My in game name is Derek and Derky, but I change them on a regular basis. Affinity has been a second family and home for me for one year and two months.
How old are you?:
I'm eighteen years old.
Location?:
I live in North Europe, Norway (next to Sweden)
Time zone?:
My timezone is GMT+2 and I think this would be a great advantage to the server.
Why do you want this position?:
I really want to become an intern here in Affinity because I feel that there are so many things I can help with. Sure, I'd like the sexy commands and the privileges, but there's so much more. As an intern I can warp to people, disconnect them if they're stuck and aPanel doesn't work, make events.. etc. The biggest reason I want to become a GM is to have the power to enforce rules and law. I want to be able to move threads, necroposts and "trolls" as we call them. I'd also like to be able to create items. To have that power is why I want this position. Sure, it seems like selfish reasons, but I have yet to see a person that doesn't want to become a GM for some selfish reasons as well.
Why should we choose you?:
You should choose me because I'm a mature, intelligent and organized individual.
I'm a well respected and experienced player here at Affinity, and I believe I can help
even the staff out a lot. I've already been a Support Crew member back in the days, but I still help out.
I made the biggest part of this FAQ:
http://www.project-ity.com/t4261-faq-read-this-first-before-you-start-asking-for-help
I've uploaded mirrors for players to use which you can find here.

I will not show any favoritism, and I will ban people based on my judgement.
If you pick me then I know that I can do a good job.
Definition Trivia.
Definition Trivia is pretty much like the other Trivias except it's about writing definitions of words I say. For example:
Define entelechy.
Now the players have to either find the answer on Google or type it from their brain.
The right answer here would be something like:
1. A realization or actuality as opposed to a potentiality.
2. In vitalist philosophy, a vital agent or force directing growth and life.
Pros:
It's educational.
Not a spam type of trivia.
Cons:
People might get mad for not being able to Google.
I have yet to try this out, but I've already planned how I'd do it.
Color scavenger.
This is a scavenger hunt where you are in teams. I've done this event before back in Phase 1 and it was a success.
The idea behind this event is to divide a lot of people into teams. The GM gives the team seperate colors and also supplies them with
clothing that goes with. In the end, all teams would be told to get an item of the GM's choice, and the quickest team gets 5 points. The event goes on until the GM ends it.
Recommended amount of hosters:
Two GM's.
Pros:
It's a really fun and successful way for people to enjoy events.
It's fun for the hoster/s as well.
People love scavenger hunts.
Cons:
Takes a bit time and organization.
Just like any other event, it could make people pissed.
Scavenger JQ:
Alright, this one is actually an event I planned the other day.
The basic idea of this event is to make an event in a JQ and get another GM at the end.
The GM on the end drops an item, and the players are supposed to get there first and give the item to the GM at the start.
You could also make this a Team scavenger JQ where you seperate the players into three teams.
Recommended map: The Deep Forest of Patience.
Recommended GM's: 2
Pros:
Fun and easy.
Quick to do.
Cons:
People that are bad at JQs will whine just like any other event.
Well, those are the events I've planned out. I hope you like them.
I'm a stalker on forums, and I doubt there's a day I haven't been on it.
If I were to get the job I'd be willing to skip some plans in real for the best of the server.
the first time I'm applying for one that's after v75. I also used to be a Support Crew member here so I know the staff well. I know that the key to a functioning staff is cooperation. They all have to work together just like a computer. I believe that fighting amongst the staff is like dust on your fan. It causes static electricity and can make the parts malfunction. As a Intern you won't see this from me. I'm always willing to learn things from the staff and share my ideas back.

I am a very experienced person when it comes to MapleStory. In the one year and two months I've played, I've learned that Affinity is like a family, and becoming an intern is like becoming a father, and I'd certainly like to provide for my family. I've played MapleStory for four to five years, and I know how the system works.
I'm easy to work with, and I hope you greatly consider me as an intern here at Affinity.
I did a section like this back in my Support Crew app, and I thought I'd do it again.
I promise that if you pick me, I'll be trustable and loyal. I promise that I'll do my job as hard as I can and that I'll always be there to help out.
May it be players or staff. I promise that if you pick me, I will try my best to make Affinity fun. Thank you.

Well, I've actually thought about these for some time, but I'm unsure if everything is possible.Definition Trivia.

What times are you usually active? [Including time willing to dedicate]:
I'm usually available every day unless I go out a bit. I'd say I'm on 4-6 hours a day and 15 hours on Fridays and Saturdays.I'm a stalker on forums, and I doubt there's a day I haven't been on it.
If I were to get the job I'd be willing to skip some plans in real for the best of the server.
Past GM experience?:
Well, I haven't been a GM that much, but I would say I'm experienced as a staff member. I've been an Admin and Gamemaster in a couple of old, old servers, but this isthe first time I'm applying for one that's after v75.
